Release Train Engineer (Freelance)

This means that our solutions are critical to our customers and need optimal working. Our main solutions include patient monitoring, collaborative health systems and questionnaire platforms, integrated with customer systems.
Your main role is to facilitate the several development teams within the Agile Release Train.
Every team is supported by a scrum master. You are constantly focused on improvement of the performance of the teams, the cooperation of the teams and in general the release train. You are so to say the overall scrum master.
You are responsible for the following aspects:
- Manage and optimize the flow of value through the Agile Release Train (ART);
- Lead program increment planning sessions to establish PI Objectives and PI Program Board with milestones and delivery dates;
- Partner and collaborate with Agile Release Train (ART) team stakeholders, vendors and dependent teams;
- Manage and facilitate cross-functional team ceremonies to support development and application releases
- Escalate and track team impediments, manage risks and dependencies, drive continuous improvement;
- Coach stakeholders, teams, Scrum Masters in Agile/SAFe practices and mindsets
- Promotion of the cooperation between the scrum masters.
You are a part of:
A mid-size R&D organization with about 10 scrum teams, partly in The Netherlands and partly in
India. You have to deal with all teams and the several scrum masters.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
- Bachelor or master degree in informatics (or comparable);
- Minimum 5 years of experience in agile way of working;
- Minimum 2 years of experience in working in a scaled agile environment according SAFe;
- Education in SAFe, preferable SAFe Release Train Engineer or Program Consultant
- Project management and coordination skills;
- Strong analytical skills and organizational sensitive;
- Good command of both the Dutch and English language, both spoken and written;
- Knowledge of medical software is a benefit;
- Team player.
