PHILIPS is looking for an enthusiastic Product Quality Engineer in the MLD phase, Modify Launched Design for our Innovation Team Male Grooming in Drachten.

As Product Quality Engineer, you will manage the Quality approach in the MLD phase of Male Grooming & Beauty products: this involves the quality of the released product, the manufacturing process, and the supplied parts and assemblies. You will be mainly responsible for ensuring the products’ quality, in case of product and / or process change requests. You will monitor product quality over time and monthly report the status. Organize and coordinate repeat release activities and you will be the first point of contact of the development quality team in case of product deviations & factory side.

Your main responsibilities would be:

• You will support the MLD team with test planning, the use of Q-tools (e.g. design of experiments, data analysis, DfSS, FMEA), and the review of process capability studies and control plans.

  Ensures that appropriate quality, reliability- and Post Market Surveillance (PMS) plans are made and include all product life cycle stages.

• Supports Quality Plan design for hardware and Software design and ensures they meet quality and compliance standards for every planned milestone. Validates key design inputs like usability, reliability, performance, supportability, manufacturability, localizability, safety, security, privacy, serviceability, sustainability, and costs.

• Performs independent technical assessment on product quality performance and post-market product quality analysis to lead quality-related problem solving and root cause analysis during design and manufacturing and initiates field actions when required.

• Performing timely quality engineering tasks like assessing quality plans, assessing product designs and reviewing test and other performance data, analyzing market feedback, lead root cause analysis, and quality problem-solving.

• You will be the pivot between the various Q disciplines involved in the MLD phase, like Development Quality, Supplier Quality, Industrial Quality and Consumer Care.

To succeed in this role, you should have/are:

• You have a technical Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with at least 4+ years of work experience in quality in a development environment or you have experience as an engineer in a production environment. Hands-on technical skills in mechanical or electronics.

• The Quality Engineer should be able to provide independent oversight of the design input process, design V&V activities, design transfer and product realization, and performance in the field to ensure that all design requirements are effectively met. Also provides analytics to the Business on the efficacy and efficiency of the design and product realization processes.
