Systems Quality Engineer
As a Senior Systems Quality Engineer at Philips, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of healthcare products throughout the entire product lifecycle — from development to sustaining. You will support complex R&D projects by applying advanced quality and reliability practices, managing risk, and driving continuous improvement.
You’ll join an international team of over 130 experts, contributing to product quality excellence across global Philips businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
Design for Quality & Reliability
Apply and promote DfX, DfSS, and other quality best practices in R&D projects.
Define and manage Quality and Reliability requirements with system architects and project leads.
Risk Management
Set up and execute risk analysis activities (e.g., FMEA, FTA, Fault Tree, HAZOP).
Lead planning and execution of validation, verification, and optimization testing.
Training & Deployment
Coach R&D teams on quality tools and processes (e.g., Minitab, JMP, Reliasoft).
Support global deployment of quality practices and engineering maturity.
Continuous Improvement
Identify quality improvement opportunities and develop actionable plans.
Contribute to initiatives using DMAIC, PDCA, Kaizen, and other Lean/Quality methods.
Project & Stakeholder Management
Deliver quality deliverables within project timelines and manage your activities effectively.
Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders across levels and departments.
Your Profile:
Master’s or PhD in Physics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
2+ years of R&D experience; experience in regulated or medical device environments preferred.
Proven experience with DfR/DfSS, risk management tools, and manufacturing quality.
Strong analytical and conceptual thinker with hands-on drive.
Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Fluent in English and open to occasional travel.
