In this role, you challenge the introduction of new products, playing a key role in ensuring a seamless transition from development to manufacturing. You will be responsible for developing and implementing assembly and test processes to create predictable, reliable, and efficient production lines.

You will be responsible for:

  • Participating in the product design process to ensure new products are optimally designed for assembly, process validation, and testing in our factory.

  • Designing production processes and performing technical risk assessments using methods like pFMEA.

  • Writing process and Manufacturing Requirements based on Product Specifications and Test Requirements from R&D.

  • Coordinating the development, sourcing, and installation of related equipment and tools.

  • Proving the suitability of selected processes and equipment for medical system production through equipment and process validation.

  • Preparing, executing, and reporting on pilot and Process Performance Qualification runs to release processes and equipment for production.

  • Accountability for manufacturing BOM and routing Master data until release to shipment and for PDLM-ruled changes.

  • Implementing PDLM-driven design changes in Philips factories and at suppliers.


To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.

  • Approximately 5 years of experience in a similar role.

  • Experience in design transfer and manufacturing transfer projects.

  • Experience with process validation (pMap, pFMEA, IQ, OQ, PQ) as well as FMEA and SPC.

  • Preferably, experience with Lean Manufacturing.

  • A team player with a self-propelling, continuous improvement mindset and a result-driven, quality-driven approach.

  • Strong personal and communication skills, including fluency in English.
