Are you the experienced program planning expert that Philips is looking for and are you ready for your next step in supporting our company’s transformation? Can you be part of the overarching transformation ‘control tower’ that oversees the direction that our programs are moving? We challenge you to take responsibilities of the planning function within the transformational programs and bring it to the next level in our maturity.
You are responsible for
• Set-up and run multi million program & project plans within the transformation portfolio in Philips, relating to scope, budget, resources & timelines.
• Strengthen and continuous improve the program planning & interdependencies in programs and underlying projects, incl. organization, staff, processes, procedures and tooling.
• Leveraging the overall program planning management facility in relation to on-, near and off-shore capabilities, incl. growth strategy.
• Coordination of multiple program plans in the landscape of a multi-million program environment.
• Within the program management office, acting as a center of expertise in relation to planning & portfolio management and be single point of contact for program and project managers.
• Acts as a thrusted advisor to new leaders on the team and communicates both internal and external
• Responsible, support and advices overall engagement/program planning, changes, risks, issues, budget and deliverables in relation to overall scope of programs
• Analysis dependencies, objectives & targets and provides advice for changes
• Signals relations between various areas and actively provides improvements
• Improves processes, templates and tools.
• Coaching support teams, program and project managers and sponsors
You are a part of
The Planning Manager role is part of the overall Philips global program office (100+ million euro per annum), reporting to program manager(s) and report into the Planning & Interdependency lead. The PMO function consist of an international set of staff members, operating in the global strategic program environment of Philips. The role will be based in our Eindhoven office and occasionally in Amsterdam.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
• Bachelor or Master degree
• 5-10-years of experience in the area of planning management and PMO within professional services
• Project management certifications (PRINCE2 Practitioner, IPMA C/D, PMI certified)
• Very strong MS Project experience, Excel skills and background in portfolio instruments such as CA Clarity and/or Planisware.
• Experience in technology driven organizations, as many programs have a very strong IT component included.
• Extensive experience in project management methods (e.g. PRINCE2, PMBOK, Agile, Scrum).
• Master English both written and oral
• Strong communication skills
• Pro-active, accurate and stress resistant
• Leadership & coaching
• Problem analysis and conclusion
• Planning and organization
• Political sensitive
