Technical Project Manager - Mechatronic Systems

Location: HTC, High Tech Campus, Eindhoven

Duration Assignment: 12 months (with possible extension)

Contract: via a Randstad company

Hours/week: 40

Salary range: €5400 - €7800

In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Make life better! In this role, you challenge the traditional boundaries of engineering by leading complex technical projects for the development of advanced equipment and mechatronic systems. You will combine your strong engineering background with excellent project management skills to drive projects from concept through completion.

You will be responsible for:

  • Project Planning & Initiation: Defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, and developing comprehensive project plans, budgets, timelines, and risk management strategies.

  • Project Execution & Monitoring: Coordinating and leading cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, quality, etc.), monitoring progress, ensuring adherence to schedules/budgets, and managing project risks.

  • Stakeholder Communication & Reporting: Acting as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and presenting status reports to senior management.

  • Technical Oversight: Overseeing the technical development of equipment and mechatronic systems, ensuring designs meet performance, reliability, and compliance requirements.

  • Providing technical guidance and support to project teams, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Post-Project Evaluation: Conducting post-project evaluations, identifying lessons learned, and implementing feedback to enhance future project performance.


To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related field). A Master's degree or PMP certification is a plus.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, specifically in the development of equipment and/or mechatronic systems.

  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in mechatronics, robotics, or related fields.

  • Proven ability to manage complex projects from conception to completion, within budget and on schedule.

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project or equivalent).

  • Familiarity with relevant industry and medical standards and compliance regulations.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
