The Role: We are looking for a passionate and innovative Packaging designer to join our packaging team. You will play a pivotal role in the entire packaging development lifecycle, from initial concept design, through detailed engineering, to mass production, ensuring our products & packs not only meet the highest standards of functionality and performance but also exceed consumer expectations in terms of packaging design and usability.
The work includes setting the requirements in agreement with stakeholders & according to the packaging platform. After setting the project’s direction, the role also encompasses the design, development & release of the packaging. This includes working together with the stakeholders within and beyond the project team as well as collaborating with suppliers, and markets/sales organizations to bring the product to the market.
Key Responsibilities:
Innovative Packaging Design: Design & develop and implement packaging solutions that are not only functional and sustainable but also enhance the consumer experience. This includes working closely with the marketing and production teams to ensure packaging aligns with brand identity and market demands.
Prototyping and Testing: Lead the development of prototypes and oversee rigorous testing to validate design concepts and packaging solutions. This involves using state-of-the-art tools and methodologies to ensure our packaging meets the highest quality standards.
Requirements management & risk management: Manage packaging requirements, perform risk analysis (FMEA) and follow the V-model methodology.
Engineering: 2D and 3D detailed design, specifications, materials definition, DfM and DfA, archiving and efficient data management in C PLM system (Windchill)
Sustainability Initiatives: Drive the development of sustainable packaging solutions, aligning with our company’s commitment to environmental responsibility. Your work will contribute to reducing our environmental footprint while maintaining the integrity and appeal of our packs.
Continuous Improvement: Stay at the cutting edge of industry trends, materials science, and consumer behavior. Apply this knowledge to continuously improve our packaging solutions.
Qualifications:
Educational Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Design or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: Preferably 1-3 years of experience in packaging development and/or product function development, preferably within the consumer electronics industry.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (preferably NX, Artios experience is a nice to have) and experience with prototyping tools and methods. A strong understanding of materials science and sustainability practices in packaging is essential.
Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, a creative mindset, pro-active and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills are required to effectively present ideas and influence stakeholders.

Additional Information:
Hybrid Work: Minimum 3-4 days per week onsite in Eindhoven.
