Our MEMS Process Development and Integration team develops MEMS and thin-film processes for (internal and external) customer products, bringing them from early stage concepts towards volume manufacturing. The application and product areas we cover are broad, with a focus on medical applications. The team consists of highly motivated and skilled Development Engineers, Project Leaders and Architects. The team is part of the division MEMS & Micro Devices of Philips Innovation Services. We are a highly motivated and skilled team of Development Engineers, Technical Project Leaders and Process Architects, who have decades of experience in supporting customers both inside and outside Philips, ranging from major companies and institutes, to highly innovative start-ups. The Process Development & Integration group focusses on the realization of integral (flowchart) solutions in the application fields of MEMS, sensors, actuators and other devices. A key focus area is MEMS devices for medical applications.

 
Job Description
As Development Engineer you are: An active team member of multiple process development projects. Responsible for the definition and execution of process experiments and process integration batches in the cleanroom, including inspection and reporting. Working with the Process Engineering team to develop and mature new process steps. Identifying generic process improvement opportunities (technical and non-technical), and implementing them. Running problem solving initiatives of process related issues, using a structured approach (e.g. 8D)Transferring new process steps to Operations through. Work Instructions and personal training/coaching of operators. Responsible for knowledge transfer through technical reports and presentations.
 

Your profile

  • A Bachelor Degree in the area of process technology and development; 
  • Thin film process knowledge in the field of MEMS or related processes; 
  • Experience with working in a cleanroom; 
  • Experience in working with project teams in relevant technical domains; 
  • Knowledge and understanding of adjacent disciplines, or the capability to acquire this quickly. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, both technical as interpersonal; 
  • Knowledge of and experience in the use of primary tools (DOE, SPC, Problem Solving, etc.). Have a pragmatic, creative, flexible attitude with a result driven, can-do mentality.
