Manufacturing Engineer
As a Manufacturing Engineer at Philips, you will play a key role in coordinating, improving, and managing the full manufacturing process for high-end PCB and micro assemblies — from preparation through delivery. You’ll be responsible for product industrialization, including project proposals, budgets, process optimization, documentation, and product configuration in SAP/MES systems.
You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team operating in a dynamic environment where fast response, precision, and continuous improvement are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing & Process Engineering
Coordinate the preparation, realization, and follow-up of sample series, pilot runs, and process changes.
Generate and maintain Product Flow Charts and Product Control Plans.
Own the implementation and release of new equipment and processes, including work instructions and design rules.
Deliver input for production validation in line with Product BOMs and Control Plans.
Project & Budget Management
Create project proposals and cost estimates for new products and processes.
Act as product owner for assigned projects, managing budget, timelines, documentation, and quality standards.
Support the transfer of product and process knowledge to other manufacturing sites.
Process Optimization & Compliance
Drive continuous improvement of process quality and efficiency (FMEA, CpK, PPM, MTBF).
Maintain and improve the SAP/MES environment, ensuring proper configuration and product documentation.
Ensure compliance with QMS, internal procedures, and local regulations.
Update and distribute user documentation in line with training and operational standards.
Technology & Stakeholder Engagement
Advise management on new manufacturing technologies and potential investments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, IT, and Sales.
Your Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or a related technical field.
At least 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
Hands-on experience with SAP/MES systems and process validation.
Strong problem-solving skills and understanding of production metrics (FMEA, CpK, MTBF).
Pragmatic, flexible, and result-driven mindset with a hands-on approach.
Professional communication skills in both Dutch and English.
Affinity with IT and data systems related to manufacturing environments.
