Usability Engineer
At Philips Image Guided Therapy (IGT) we transform the delivery of minimally invasive procedures through intelligent, connected imaging and clinical workflow solutions. Within the iApps organization, we design and develop advanced clinical applications that provide real-time guidance, decision support, and workflow automation to clinicians worldwide. The intuitive use of these applications is critical for ensuring procedure efficiency, clinical confidence, and patient safety.

As a Usability Engineer in the Image Guided Therapy domain, you drive usability engineering efforts throughout the entire product lifecycle to ensure software medical devices are intuitive, safe, and effective.

Your role:
· Your role significantly contributes to advancing healthcare technology by ensuring that innovative medical software is designed around the needs of clinicians and patients, leading to safer and more effective image-guided therapies.
· You are responsible for delivering usability evidence across the product creation process, ensuring releases meet regulatory, customer, and business needs through activities like workflow analysis and usability evaluations.
· As a member of the iApps team in the Image Guided Therapy Systems R&D organization at Philips, you'll work with highly skilled professionals specialized in the Validation and Usability domain. This team collaborates closely with stakeholders across the organization, including Clinical Science, Clinical Marketing, Service and Innovation.

You're the right fit if:
· You have a Master’s or PhD in Human-Technology Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, Cognitive Science, Industrial Design, or a related field.
· You bring multiple years of demonstrable experience in usability engineering of minimum Class II medical device software or systems in accordance with IEC 62366-1 and FDA’s guidance for Human Factors.
· You have deep knowledge of medical imaging and clinical workflows, particularly within Image Guided Therapy.
· You have experience working with complex integrated systems involving both hardware and software.
· Strong communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills are essential
· Excellent verbal and written English
