The role as Manufacturing Engineer are responsible for giving support, improve and maintain the production process within the Manufacturing Department Factory Best. One of the largest Medical Manufacturing Sites in Health Systems.

We’re looking for a hands-on and programming savvy colleague (Junior/Medior) to join our Manufacturing Engineering team supporting DMLS/3D printing driven production of Anti-(X-Ray)-Scatter Grids in Philips Factory Best. The Manufacturing Engineer (m/f/d) will be primarily responsible for process and yield improvements, facilitating life cycle management changes & enabling new product introduction and escalation management, within the Image Components factory.

The Manufacturing Engineer (m/f/d) will be primarily responsible for process and yield improvements, facilitating life cycle management changes & enabling new product introduction and escalation management, within the Image Components factory.


To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following

  • Engineering related bachelor/master and affinity with programming (preferably Python)

  • Hands-on mentality, practical experience (professional or hobby) with tinkering, mending, or enhancing electrical/mechanical devices/equipment/tools

  • Proficient in documentation and natural inclination for accuracy

  • Be independent, pro-active, and not afraid to take ownership, including relevant stakeholders’ management

  • Experience in statistics and process validation or eager to learn this knowledge

  • A result & quality driven approach

  • Experience within Manufacturing or Engineering within high tech or process industry

  • Experience with OT (Operational Technology) and IT (Information Technology).

  • Comprehension skills and ability to analyse and summarise

  • Technical knowledge to identify tooling issues and translate R&D requirements towards a manufacturing process, in collaboration with R&D and tooling suppliers. 

  • Experience with quality management and quality systems. Preferably experience in the medical industry (ISO 9001, 13485, FDA requirements, audits, FMEA, 8D, SPC, etc.)

  • Personal & communication skills (Dutch & English). Communication with operators up to developers & management
