Manufacturing Engineer IGT
As a Manufacturing Engineer within Philips Image Guided Therapy (IGT) Systems, you will play a key role in supporting, maintaining, and improving the production process in the IGT Factory in Best. You will be involved in a variety of projects, from implementing new technologies to driving our Industry 4.0 ambitions—all while ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and compliance.
Your responsibilities
Serve as the Manufacturing representative in Product Development Lifecycle Management (PDLM) subprojects, ensuring seamless coordination from product design to production.
Define and align manufacturing requirements early in the development cycle to enable smooth transitions into production.
Review and update quality control plans and work instructions; ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, environmental, and legal standards.
Support the installation and ramp-up of new equipment, guaranteeing smooth integration into the production process.
Represent manufacturing during project milestones such as SR sign-off and project closure, ensuring operational needs are met.
Drive design change implementations in Lifecycle Management (LCM) to improve product performance and manufacturability.
Introduce and sustain improvements in manufacturing processes, tools, and equipment to optimize efficiency and quality.
Apply lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and improve resource utilization.
Lead CapEx optimization initiatives to ensure recurring investments support production excellence.
Coordinate procurement and validation of recurring production equipment in line with Philips standards.
Ensure all processes are validated and released according to applicable procedures and policies.
You're the right fit if you have:
A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Manufacturing, or a related field.
At least 4 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or engineering within a high-tech or regulated environment.
A hands-on mentality and a strong attention to detail in documentation and execution.
Strong communication skills, able to interact with operators, developers, and management.
A proactive and independent working style; you take ownership and manage stakeholders effectively.
Familiarity with quality systems and standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and FDA requirements.
Experience with tools such as SAP (MES), Windchill, and preferably basic knowledge of OT/IT environments.
Analytical thinking skills and the ability to summarize complex issues effectively.
Experience with lean methodologies and structured problem-solving (FMEA, 8D, SPC, etc.).
