As a Manufacturing Engineer at Philips Image Guided Therapy (IGT) Systems, you will play a vital role in supporting and improving our production processes at the IGT Factory in Best. This position focuses on both day-to-day manufacturing support and the implementation of new projects that enhance production efficiency and quality.

Your responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for Product Development Lifecycle Management (PDLM) subprojects, ensuring smooth handovers from Product Industrialization Engineers into production.

  • Provide input for manufacturing requirements within PDLM, aligning closely with production needs and ensuring seamless transitions from design to manufacturing.

  • Create and maintain quality control plans and work instructions, ensuring full compliance with safety, regulatory, environmental, and legal standards.

  • Support equipment installation and ramp-up of new processes, ensuring safe and effective implementation into the production environment.

  • Represent manufacturing interests during key project milestones, including SR sign-off and project closure.

  • Execute design changes within the Lifecycle Management (LCM) process to improve product quality and production efficiency.

  • Monitor and improve manufacturing processes, tools, and equipment, addressing challenges that arise post-handover.

  • Apply lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste, optimize resources, and improve overall production performance.

  • Support CapEx optimization initiatives and ensure the timely procurement and installation of recurring production equipment.

  • Ensure that all manufacturing processes are properly validated and released in accordance with applicable procedures.


You’re the right fit if you have:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Manufacturing, or related field.

  • At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing or engineering, preferably in a high-tech or regulated industry.

  • A hands-on mentality, strong documentation skills, and attention to detail.

  • A proactive and independent mindset, with the confidence to take ownership and manage stakeholders.

  • A strong focus on results and quality.

  • Experience with SAP (MES) and Windchill is a plus.

  • Basic understanding of OT (Operational Technology) and IT systems.

  • Strong analytical and summarizing skills.

  • Knowledge of quality systems and standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, FDA requirements, FMEA, 8D, SPC, etc.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both operators and technical stakeholders.
