Objective
At Digital Pathology we are looking for an interaction designer with strong creative skillsets.
We are currently creating the product vision for an exciting and future field in pathology – called computational pathology. This vision would be:
• a way to express our future product to customers, and

• a guideline for our coming 18-24 months of development

The task at hand


At Digital Pathology product management is responsible for defining new products. Part of the product definition is the UX design. The UX designer will work closely together with the product manager to explore needs, translate that to interaction concepts and work out the details to steer application development.

This work is exploratory in nature and is meant to help us in requirements gathering and communication to customers and R&D. It will be used in front of customers to validate and prioritise features and it will be used as input for SW development. It should be lightweight and highly agile.

Some expectations
The designer:
•  Collaborates directly with product management, user experience (UX) research and pre-development, and quickly translates user needs, ideas, requirements and business context into (interactive) prototypes, high fidelity screen designs, assets and specifications ready for SW development
•  Surprises by delivering faster than we can think
•  Is highly experienced and delivers results independently
•  Is creative and can work with fuzzy input to help guide the design thinking process through his/her design output
•  Is able to select and apply the right prototyping technique/tool for each stage of the design thinking-process to minimize lead time and maximize velocity
•  Has great visual design, communication and presentation skills
•  Highly proficient with software -and interaction design/prototyping tools such as Sketch, InVision, Principle, Adobe CC (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator) and Edge/Edge Animate, HTML, CSS, Javascript
•  Will work in Best on-site to enable fast iterations and ad hoc discussions

Education & Experience
•  Bachelor or Masters degree in Interaction Design, Industrial Design, UX Design, Communication/Multimedia Design
•  Has 3-5 years of experience with UX design, interaction design and visual design at an agency or in-house team, preferably in the medical domain/health care IT

Business case
As part of the hiring process you will be asked to work on a practical (business) case and present the results to your future multidisciplinary team members
