Position Description- Integration Consultant


1 Role Description


The Professional Services Consultant is responsible for leading the implementation of integration services and software delivery to global eICU customers. To be able to engage in empathetic and compelling ways with hospital management up to the executive level. To help plan and implement strategic and operational change from an integration perspective. Managing project work streams, analysis of client operations, client management, solution design and implementation, and generation of project deliverables. To provide subject matter expertise for healthcare provider clients and part of a collaborative cross-solution project team. Responsible for working with client staff to maintain the appropriate support and momentum to achieve project outcomes. Responsible for mentoring analysts on the project team and providing necessary direction. Responsible for Integrating different healthcare IT systems at several levels, with quality, observing the Philips implementation policies and methodology.


2 Responsibilities


• Scoping, designing, building, deploying and/or integrating solutions.


• Fulfilling software implementation deliverables such as detailed design documentation, system build, configuration and testing


• Analyzes the unique business, technical and clinical customer requirements to design, build and/or integrate the most appropriate solution.


• Based on customer requirements, serves as a consultant to provide integration recommendations that best suit the environment


• Mentors and trains customers to maintain their systems.


• Is a customer advocate and leverages insights to drive product decisions.


• Resolve integration issues and offer proactive support.


• Documentation of solutions to ensure support teams and other consultants can participate in support and onward development.


• Contributes to the collective learning of Philips, seeking to share knowledge globally; assesses and shares repeatable processes that can be leveraged across multiple projects.


• Practices strong configuration management and version control


• Execute activities as described in the TeleHealth Implementation Process Framework


• Is a key member of the implementation project and/or service team; fosters collaboration through sharing experiences, information, perspectives, skills and expertise.


• Drives continuous improvements of our implementation methodology and service offerings based on customer feedback.


• Represents Philips professionally in both customer and internal team situations. Integrating and configuring the Philips EMR&CM products at customer site with other healthcare systems and devices


• Develop Interfaces using interface engines and configure Philips systems to meet external systems specifications.


• Develop Reports using reporting tools / technologies.


• Open Service Orders (SO) according to the methodology


• Present and document the Adherence Analysis, as well as the System Parametrization


• Manages the integration scope of the project, performing its activities according to the foreseen schedule.


• Preparation of documents foreseen in the integration methodology


• Suggest improvements to the client processes, based on the practices used in the system.


• Map the processes (when applicable) and system parametrization.


• Learn and Support on Tasy Interface Engine.


• Generate the Activities Report (RAT) and other documentation according to the methodology.


• Meet the deadlines set on projects.


• Monitor execution of pilot tests


• Support the Project management, controlling documents, status and scope, supporting the other consultants when requested.


• During the project, teach the local market teams (or third parties) the implementation methodology used by Philips, i.e., how to implement Interfaces/Tasy and/or other Philips EMR&CM products.


• Apart from the responsibilities set under the Role Description, assure that the responsibilities related to Security & Privacy of information - which may apply to the role - are performed.


• Ensure compliance and act according to the policies of the Philips General Business Principles (GBP) and Information Security


3 Qualifications


• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.


• Minimum of 5+ years of experience


• Able to demonstrate strong written communication skills.


• Good organization skills for high-paced environment.


• Clinical or healthcare experience will be desirable.


• Self-motivated & Team player


• Logical reasoning, Problem analysis and solving.



4 Must have skills


• Working understanding of hospital enterprise IT systems (HIS, CIS, LIS, PACS, EMR, …) and their integration, including medical devices (patient monitors, ventilators, …) - best: working experience with acute/critical care systems, workflows and procedures.


• Knowledge of various workflows.


• Advanced understanding of HL7 and FHIR and other similar communication standards in healthcare IT systems.


• Hands on experience in handling and converting / mapping data from one format to other, viz. HL7 to FHIR and vice versa.


• Advanced Knowledge on SQL, JavaScript and preferably Java, JSON, REST, XML, HTML, OAuth, Atom


• Work Experience on Interface Engines like BizTalk / Mirth / Rhapsody / Tibco / Cloverleaf / etc.


• Knowledge on importing / exporting data from one system to other over cloud in encrypted format.


• Experience in building REST/Webservice/Microservice/APIs


• Exposure to implement Security, Authorization & Authentication, best practices etc.


• Demonstrated experience working with ADT (Admissions, Discharges and Transfers services), Hospital Information Systems (HIS’s), Lab Information Systems (LIS’s) including familiarity with lab workflows, and other acute care or clinical solutions.


• Experience with and knowledge of data mapping within clinical systems to universal health terminology and standards such as LOINC (Logical Observation Identifiers Names and Codes), SNOMED (Systemized Nomenclature of Medicine), ICD, and other coding schemes for Terminology data sets.


• Direct working experience with FHIR messaging standard for transmission of data queries


• Basic knowledge of different OS platforms, VMWare, HyperV, etc. and its troubleshooting / Database Maintenance / Performance working experience - including different backup strategies, disaster-failover-recovery plans, high availability strategies, performance analysis and resolution.



5 Good to have skills



• Knowledge on MS Reporting Services and comparable tools


• Knowledge on Data Analytics and Visualization reporting tools like Qlik Sense, Power BI, etc.
