Freelance Senior Six Sigma Leader
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a game-changer for Philips, delivering meaningful innovations to improve the lives of 3 billion people a year by 2030, Philips’ Vision.
In addition to the application of your technical mastery, your expertise will be leveraged by training, coaching and mentoring the future generations of Green Belts and Black Belts as change agents. You will contribute to the greater body of shared knowledge, including best practices, innovative solutions, and efficient DfSS strategies.
You are responsible for:
Strengthening and accelerating global deployment of the Design for Six Sigma capability framework as part of the Philips Quality Transformation program.
Bringing new and innovative ideas to drive the strategic development, deployment, and continuous improvement of the Six Sigma program.
Taking ownership for the integral DfSS capability maturity growth program to be driven in selected businesses or business clusters.
Working seamlessly with Executive Champions, Business Leaders and Stakeholders across Philips to determine scope of projects, define and schedule resource plans in addition to outlining the deployment strategy, goals, and priorities.
Delivering DfSS Black Belt and Green Belt Training.
Coaching Black Belt/Green Belt candidates to certification and the successful completion of their projects.
Working with DfSS team to update and maintain training materials.
Actively participating in Global Philips DfSS community & promote DfSS in R&D community;
Working on key innovation projects to maintain cutting-edge quality engineering experience and stay updated with latest innovation development (approximately 25% of the time).
You are a part of:
A team of passionate Systems Engineering experts driving quality improvements across global Philips Innovation Centers.
You will work with global experts in, e.g. Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Reliability Engineering. You will witness the impact & contribution of your own work when quality and meaningful innovations come to life with DfSS at its foundation. To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
Must Have, Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience
A proven track record in R&D of a product development business.
DFSS or Six Sigma Black Belt Certified
3+ years program management experience
Advanced expertise in communicating process, status, and issues.
Ability to explain complex concepts in easy-to-understand terms, able to catch people's attention.
A skilled coach.
Strong team player skills
Ability to run compelling trainings and to work with a team of experts to continuously innovate DfSS training content to match Philips Innovation ambitions
Nice to Have:
Advanced degree in an Engineering discipline or Master’s in Business Administration
Medical device product development experience and/or strong understanding of medical device regulations and related standards
Software development experience
Willing to travel 20 percent: deliver trainings, onsite support. Primary location: Pune, India
