FPGA Engineer
At Product and Systems Engineering (I&S), we provide trusted engineering solutions for Philips. The FPGA group consists of highly experienced, knowledgeable engineers who serve a broad internal customer base with centrally managed, standardized solutions. We work on cutting-edge FPGA designs for medical products ranging from Image-Guided Therapy (IGT) systems and MRI scanners to patient monitoring devices and many more.
To meet the continuous demand of our customers, we are looking for an experienced FPGA Engineer to support us in developing and releasing new, high-impact medical solutions.
Your Role
Design & Implementation: Create and execute FPGA designs specifically for high-tech medical devices.
End-to-End Development: Participate in the full lifecycle, including requirements definition, design, implementation, testing, and release.
Quality & Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with strict medical quality norms and actively participate in design and code reviews.
Problem Solving: Apply strong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues using system debug and functional simulation testbenches.
Agile Planning: Estimate work, contribute to sprint planning, and proactively maintain your personal and team backlogs.
Documentation: Document developed designs and report progress in a structured, clear manner.
You're the Right Fit If
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Informatics, or an equivalent technical field.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in VHDL and/or Verilog coding.
Vendor Tools: Experienced working with major FPGA vendors (e.g., AMD/Xilinx, Intel/Altera) and their proprietary development tools.
High-Speed Design: A proven track record of implementing high-speed designs and high-speed interfaces.
Testing & Verification: Skilled in functional simulation testbenches, version control, CI/CD pipelines, and regression test frameworks.
Documentation: Experienced in writing clear technical specifications and formal design documentation.
Collaboration: A proven track record of working effectively within cross-functional teams.

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means a hybrid work model requiring in-person collaboration at the office at least 3 days per week.
Contract
Initially, you will be contracted by the Randstad and work on assignment until 2nd of July 2027.
