Job Description Summary
Works proactively on timely and accurate core deliveries and initiates improvement projects x-BG/Sector/Market and other FP&A centers within a sector / region. Making sure that changes in the business (e.g. reporting structure) are properly reflected into reporting systems. Initiates and designs FP&A processes within a domain or region and ensures efficiency of these processes within the sector / region. Initiates the harmonization of reporting, (scenario) analysis, financial planning process, business cases and continuous process improvements. 

Job Description
As a Senior FP&A manager within the Planning Performance and Analysis (PPA) CoE (Center of Expertise), your role is to pro-actively support Business Groups and Functions of Philips. You will deliver meaningful, actionable and timely analysis on business performance, and enable the stakeholders to take solid, fact-based decisions.
You will also own the Non-material cost (NMC) global processes within the CoE portfolio, for which you will be the global point of contact working with multi-regional and multi-functional teams, combining excellent content knowledge and focus on continuous improvements.

You are responsible for
o   Subject matter expert and owner of the Non-material cost (NMC) bridges for ExCo.
o   Analyzing and reporting on NMC performance during monthly & quarterly financial reporting cycles. Supporting senior management with ad-hoc analysis during the review cycles.
o   Driving process standardization and harmonization together with the Chennai team on NMC bridging and analytics.
o   Actively lead NMC analytics projects, working with multi-disciplinary teams.
o   Coordinating standard reporting and analytics within the BGs teams and across all parties providing information and actionable insights. Identifying and implementing opportunities for improving efficiency and effectiveness of our reporting and analytics.
o   Performing forward-looking ad-hoc costs analysis. Actively contributing to enhancing analytical methodology, participating in various cross Business Finance improvement projects. Actively contributing to realizing process improvements.
o   Ensuring quality, accuracy and integrity of information reported to the stakeholders, addressing data quality issues timely and efficiently.
o   Providing guidance to financial and non-financial stakeholders on FP&A related matters and provide training on new reports, analytics, reporting/ planning instructions, tools, changes, etc.
o   Being content leader for one or more globally owned processes and projects and ensuring quality, accuracy and integrity of such, enabling operational excellence while applying continuous improvements;

You are a part of
You will be part of the Planning Performance and Analysis (PPA) CoE team within Philips FP&A function , which offers a highly international and dynamic environment. The team comprises of talented finance professionals with a customer focus from diverse backgrounds. Main stakeholders include Business Group Finance Partners, COE Heads and Team leads, senior management across different domains and functions. You will be based primarily in Amsterdam and report to the Lead Productivity and investments, CoE PPA.
 

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
- A Master degree in Finance/Accounting
- Minimum 5 years of progressive working experience in the Finance area: financial planning / management reporting / financial control/decision support / actionable insights. Preferably in the international environment.

Technical/functional competencies:
o   Strong analytical skills
o   Intellectual capacity to digest complex information, see trends and analysis through data and to translate this into concrete actions;
o   Advanced skills of Microsoft Office. Proficiency at financial reporting systems (e.g. SAP BW, EFR);
o   Understanding of how statistics and/or machine learning techniques can be used to turn data into business insights & recommendations;
o   Experience with reporting & analytical tools (e.g. SQL, PBI, etc.);
o   Strong affinity with LEAN processes and tools
