At Philips, our Global Trade Compliance team ensures adherence to regulations across all interconnected business areas worldwide. As an Export Control Manager, you will be a subject matter expert in export control, facilitating collaboration among diverse entities and stakeholders on a global scale. Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary subject matter expert for export control.
Define embargo situations and manage licenses accordingly.
Maintain relationships with all parties involved in the license application process.
Screen business partners and customs documents against sanctioned party lists, ensuring timely release of documents with false positive hits.
Demonstrate proficiency in export control knowledge and adeptness in SAP tools, including GTS, and PROTECT.
Oversee daily activities related to export control, covering the full spectrum of transactional data on SPL, EMB, and LIC requirements.
Participate in corporate initiatives related to export control compliance as required.
Establish and implement local internal control procedures for export control compliance based on laws and regulations.
Release or block orders/customers based on export control regulations.
Provide independent consultative advice within specific functional areas, collaborating closely with Sector ECO and Philips Corporate Export Control.
Minimize business risks through the completion of the yearly Self-Assessment questionnaire.
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field with profound experience in export control.
Certification and experience in project management (e.g., Prince 2, Six Sigma).
Strong networking skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across different stakeholders within Philips.
Flexibility and adaptability with persistence to ensure compliance.
