Duration Assignment: 12 months (with possible extension and/or Philips transfer in time)

Contract: Permanent at a Randstad company

Budget range: €3.500 - 4.900 per month

Play a key position for the growth of Philips Innovation Engineering as an Electrical designer with experience in having familiarity with the mechatronics domain and the medical equipment domain.

Your challenge:

As an Electrical Designer, you will work in a multi-disciplinary project team of highly skilled technical experts from both Philips Innovation Engineering and our customers. 

You will participate in the design, implementation, testing and integrating of the electrical part for equipment in the mechatronics medical domain. 


Key aspects in complex mechatronic equipment are advanced motion control and accurate measurements. You will participate in the electrical architecture to accommodate these aspects.


You will be responsible for: 

  • Perform EMC (pre-)compliance tests in collaboration with the internal accredited EMC lab.

  • Setup the test strategy and test plans to comply with EMC international standards in alignment with the Norm Compliance department.

  • Consult and support electrical / mechanical / software designers in design solutions to comply with EMC.

  • Direct and support suppliers with respect to EMC compliancy

  • Co-creating, maintaining and carry out the EMC architecture and compliance

  • Co-create, maintain and improve EMC facilities

  • Successful cooperation with your team and stakeholders


To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • A Bachelor degree in electrical engineering. 

  • 2 to 5 years work experience, preferably some years in a high-tech environment. 

  • Are a proven team player. 

  • A customer centric attitude. 

  • Are able to make a work break down and a planning for your own work. 

  • You have technical experience and knowledge about electrical cabinet design and the electrical interfacing to equipment or machinery. 

  • Knowledge of electrical components for industrial automation. 

  • Knowledge of motion control solutions (servo technology). 

  • Interest in the domains medical equipment, industrial automation and mechatronics 

  • Are able to make detailed wirings of cabling, field boxes, and electrical cabinets. 

  • Are able to make test specifications, and execute these tests. 

  • Experience with regulations for developing medical equipment. 

  • Experience with CE, EMC and UL regulations.

  • Are an experienced user of EPlan 

  • It would be a preference when you have experience in working with: 

    • Microsoft Visio; 

    • The Philips system for technical product documentation. 

  • You are willing to travel up to 25%

  • Willingness to work at the customer location
