In this role, you have the opportunity to:Play a key role in the growth of Philips Innovation Engineering as a Software Development Engineer specializing in customized test and industrial production equipment for the medical equipment domain.
You will work in a multi-disciplinary project team of highly skilled technical experts from both Philips and its customers. You will participate in the design, implementation, testing, and integration of machine control software for test and production equipment, focusing on advanced motion control and accurate measurement systems.
Experience with Cordis Suite and PLC Beckhoff is a must for this role, as these are core technologies used in the machine control software environment.
You will be responsible for:
Participating in the preparation of software functional specifications and the development of technical content and concepts for customized test systems.
Aligning software concepts with system architects, E-Design, M-Design, vision, and commissioning technicians.
Designing, coding, documenting, testing (automated), maintaining, and deploying complex machine control software.
Programming and implementing machine control software while considering software architecture, functionality, and economic aspects.
Developing and aligning standards for software modules, security concepts, control panels, etc.
Preparing calculations and time planning for software commissioning and software maintenance services.
Identifying and eliminating software design flaws during integration and the equipment lifecycle.
Performing independent software integration and commissioning based on technical product documentation.
Continuously improving the software development cycle.
Providing third-line software maintenance support as a technical expert.
You are a part of:The Mechatronics & Manufacturing Systems department of Philips Innovation Engineering, which is responsible for the specification, design, and realization of customized test and production equipment in the healthcare sector.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
Bachelor of Science or related technical degree in Software Engineering.
Experience with machine control software (e.g. Cordis Suite, PLC Beckhoff).
Affinity with model-based software development and engineering (e.g. UML).
Experience with LabVIEW and C# is recommended.
Willingness to learn and expand knowledge of custom machine control platforms.
Experience with Tytrol software for new and existing test/production equipment.
Knowledge of the medical industry and related regulatory standards.
Strong technical skills and proficiency in English.
Willingness to travel up to 25% and work on customer location when needed.
