The Privacy Compliance Officer is a member of the Philips Central Privacy Legal Function and is responsible for implementing Philips privacy and data protection principles, policies and practices within a business group.

Job Activities

  • Lead and coordinate business group privacy activities, which includes implementation and compliance with Philips Privacy policies. Consults and advise the business on privacy requirements necessary to comply with privacy and data protection laws and regulations in multiple countries

  • Provide appropriate legal counsel related to privacy compliance requirements

  • Assist business in implementing privacy and data protection requirements throughout the lifecycle of medical products and health services, including Privacy by Design architecture

  • Conduct privacy compliance assessments to help business assess and mitigate risks related to processing personal data

  • Lead Investigation team in response to privacy incidents (Personal Data Breaches) per established protocol and documentation requirements.

  • Assist in the development and delivery of privacy training and awareness

  • Conduct ongoing compliance monitoring and report on privacy metrics

  • Collaborate and work effectively with key partners such as functions, markets, IT security, legal and procurement in support of privacy compliance

Candidate Profile:
Minimum of 2 experience in a law firm or as in-house privacy legal counsel or privacy officer Familiarity with global data protection laws is a plus (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively, team player
