Your Challenge

As a Technical Writer, you will create high-quality technical documentation for the Customer Services organization within the Business Group Image Guided Therapy (IGT). Your work will primarily support Service Engineers who install, troubleshoot, and repair complex imaging systems.


Your Responsibilities

  • Gather technical information by interviewing engineers, observing equipment, and reviewing existing documents.

  • Align documentation needs with stakeholders and fellow Technical Writers.

  • Manage progress, communicate updates, and meet deadlines effectively.

  • Develop, write, and edit service information, including system-specific installation documents for X-ray systems.

  • Work with tools like MS Word, X-Metal, and Content Management Systems (e.g., ST4, PTC-Windchill).

  • Ensure documentation is reusable, follows controlled language standards, and integrates technical illustrations.



Your Team

You will join the Interventional Tools & Solutions (ITS) group within the Service Innovation department. This multidisciplinary team of project managers, engineers, and writers collaborates closely to deliver top-tier service information throughout the lifecycle of medical systems. What We’re Looking For

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering.

  • Preferably 3+ years of experience as a Technical Writer.

  • A background in linguistics/communication or data engineering is a plus.

  • Experience with structured authoring tools (XML editors) and Content Management Systems.

  • Knowledge of controlled language or documentation standards (preferred).

  • Strong project management and communication skills.

  • Affinity with modern tools (e.g., AI) and open-minded to new techniques.

  • Experience with medical or high-tech equipment.

  • Flexible and able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.

  • Team player with the ability to work independently and take ownership.

  • Experience with Lean methodology is a plus.
