Technical Operations & Logistics Specialist
Job Overview
This is a highly hands-on logistics and operations support role supporting the Bothell R&D team. The position requires someone who can wear multiple hats, managing end-to-end coordination of materials, documentation, and shipments for medical device systems.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing hands-on logistics responsibilities with operational coordination and technical support activities.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate domestic and international shipping activities (India, China, Reedsville, Cambridge, etc.).
Prepare, review, and submit shipping documentation for approvals, including traffic and compliance requirements.
Manage material transfers, transport requests, and asset movement activities.
Procure requested materials from various inventory locations to support internal medical device development.
Gather parts and deliver materials to shipping docks, ensuring shipment readiness and accuracy.
Support inventory management, scheduling, and logistics coordination activities.
Process Ariba Purchase Requests, Capital Expenditure Requests (CARs), and transport-related documentation.
Track and maintain asset management records and shipment documentation.
Technical & Customer Support
Receive and respond to technical requests, product inquiries, service requests, and malfunction-related concerns promptly and efficiently.
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure necessary tools, documentation, and resources are available for operational support.
Provide technical and customer support through email, phone, chat, and desktop-sharing platforms.
Utilize incident tracking systems to document customer inquiries, diagnostics, resolutions, and case status updates accurately.
Communicate clearly with customers and internal stakeholders regarding updates, instructions, and issue resolution progress.
Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Team Collaboration & Process Improvement
Partner with cross-functional teams to support R&D and development activities.
Foster a collaborative team environment by actively participating in discussions and sharing operational insights.
Support proactive monitoring, alert handling, and issue escalation processes.
Identify opportunities to improve logistics workflows, documentation accuracy, and support efficiency.
Day to Day Work Environment:
Highly active and physical role requiring frequent movement between buildings throughout the day.
Fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities.
Combination of hands-on logistics activities and coordination/documentation responsibilities.
Fully onsite role supporting the Bothell R&D team.
Requirements:
Education
High School Diploma or Vocational Education required.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, customer support, shipping coordination, or related operational support roles with Vocational Education.
No prior experience required for candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree.
