Description:
As a System Test (Automation) Engineer, you will be part of the Business Unit Image Guided Therapy (IGT) Systems within Philips Healthcare. You will work in a multi-disciplinary project team, verifying that new product introductions and maintenance releases function as specified for the Azurion and Allura Xper FD system product families. Your role involves designing and executing optimal manual and automated test approaches, ensuring compliance with medical standards and regulatory requirements. Your contributions are essential in verifying and releasing various system configurations.
The Role:
You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test strategies while collaborating across functions to ensure the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Strategy Implementation: Review and implement the defined test strategy from the Product Verification Plan to ensure thorough system validation.
Requirement Analysis: Assess requirements and design documents from a testing perspective to optimize automation and manual testing efforts.
Test Development & Execution:
Design, develop, and execute objective, reproducible, and maintainable manual and automated test protocols.
Apply risk-based strategies, test design methods, and automation techniques.
Utilize AI/ML, ISTQB methodologies, Gherkin, C#, Nunit, and Specflow.
Ensure compliance with medical regulations (FDA, ISO).
Test Analysis & Reporting: Interpret and report test results for system integration and verification purposes.
Process Improvement: Contribute to enhancements in test ware, supporting tools, and design verification processes.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with development, validation, service, and manufacturing teams.
Training & Guidance: Define best practices and train users to maximize the value of test automation.
Qualifications:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Software Development, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in manual testing and test automation within a complex and regulated environment.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in software development/scripting, particularly in Gherkin, C#, Nunit, and Specflow.
Skills: Strong quality drive and ownership, with the ability to work effectively with different cultures and international development teams.
Collaboration: Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships across functions.
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with industry regulations such as FDA and ISO.
