Senior Reliability Engineer (Freelance)

Description
Apply and Facilitate the systematic Design for Quality, Reliability approach in new product development projects, best practices in development projects. Work with the project leader, system architect and lead engineers to identify and manage Quality and Reliability requirements. Develop the actionable reliability plan to release the products and processes according to specified reliability targets. 

Manage & execute the reliability risk identification activities, e.g. facilitate user design or process FMEA, fault tree analysis, Set up and manage design, parameter and/or process optimization and reliability verification. 

Apply techniques such as DfSS, DMAIC, Statistical Engineering (Shainin tools), PDCA, Kaizen events, SPC, 8D ...as appropriate. Provide data driven expert opinion on root cause analysis of failure modes. Liaise with expert centers, lab facilities to execute reliability investigations and tests. Provide guidance or support management of design transfer activities, e.g. development of manufacturing controls controls.
