Role: Regulatory and Safety Compliance Manager

In this role, you will be an integral part of the dynamic RA-SCR team, dedicated to ensuring that our products not only adhere to medical and non-medical regulations but also meet the performance and reliability standards specified for the product category and overall Philips guidelines. As a Safety, Compliance & Regulatory Manager, you will play a crucial role in upholding safety and environmental policies, aligning with the requirements of the Personal Health innovation area.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Executing safety and regulatory compliance activities to guarantee that our products meet all relevant regulatory requirements and adhere to Philips policies.

• Collaborating within multi-disciplinary project teams as a representative of the safety and compliance function.

• Implementing applicable regulatory requirements in development projects and OEM ODM products, while verifying and validating designs in alignment with these requirements.

• Facilitating risk assessments to proactively address potential safety and compliance issues.

• Leading projects with substantial Safety and Regulatory content.

• Representing Philips Consumer Lifestyle in international regulatory bodies on specific subjects, where applicable.

• Establishing relationships with certification bodies worldwide (such as DEKRA or UL) and coordinating the approval, testing, and verification processes through these certification bodies and test houses.

To excel in this role, you should possess:

• A Master's degree in Material, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering with a proven track record of approximately 5 years in product development and Safety & Compliance domains within international, consumer product/Medical device development projects.

• Hands-on experience in regulations viz. ISO, EU MDR, FDA.

• Experience in R&D of durable consumer products.

• A network-oriented mindset with the ability to interact effectively across all business functions at various organizational levels.

• Project management and managerial experience or skills.
