Project Controller
You will form part of the project team of Aurora, a 3 year transformational R&D program at Philips level. Your role will be that of offering financial support and being the co-driver as Project controller, business case creator and financial sparring partner for an R&D transformation program at total Philips level
Key areas of responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible to co-create business cases for cross-culture transformational programs, drive deployment for all business groups, further detail out productivity reporting principles and act as sparring partner for non-finance R&D specialists part of the project team and finance colleagues within the various business groups.
Main responsibilities reside around the below 3 areas:
- Co-create & drive acceptance of financial design principles:
- Further detail out the productivity reporting principles for R&D on savings and cost to achieve and have them signed off by Technical Accounting Group and central cost productivity team
- Communicate the updated reporting principles across R&D community;
- Collecting and sharing best practices to help build productivity results across Businesses
- Business cases creation & monitoring
- Co-create business case template for cross-cluster transformations, including testing and deployment to business groups
- Support business groups in using the business cases to identify savings and cost to achieve resulting from the transformational initiatives;
- Reporting
- Ensure timely monthly reporting of status at program level of plans vrs Actuals covering the full length of the program ( 3 years)
- Set up the monthly monitoring review mechanism for all initiatives: actual results versus the original business cases and escalate when results are below committed levels;
- Ad-hoc requests or scenario planning;
To succeed in this role, the following skills and experience are desired
1) Master degree Finance preferred with CMA or RC
2) Strong financial skills with ability to understand the dynamics of a consolidated P&L
3 ) Experience in program management and experience in dealing with non-finance colleagues
4) Philips knowledge is a pre
5) Have track record of creating business cases and driving their implementation
6) The ability to deliver results in a collaborative manner
