The Patient Engagement solutions Philips offers to their customers are in the heart of their IT landscape and strategy. This means that our solutions are critical to our customers and need optimal working. Our main solutions include patient monitoring, collaborative health systems and questionnaire platforms, integrated with customer systems.

Your main role is to bring in privacy experience and to arrange several privacy related deliverables. These deliverables are providing privacy operational support in connection with sales offerings, request for proposals and tenders, deployment of products and services by feeding necessary privacy controls, customer inquiries, support the organization in the implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation and support of other initiatives that have a privacy impact. You are constantly focusing on improvement of the privacy aspects within our organization. You are part of the business category EMR&CM and within this business category of R&D Patient Engagement/Center of Expertise and you will work collaboratively with the Global Privacy Legal Function.

You are responsible for the following activities:
Actively cooperate with the Privacy Legal Function with regards to the following activities:

  • Retrieving required information for the performance of Privacy Compliance Assessments (PCA);
  • Overseeing the implementation of mitigations resulting from PCAs
  • Maintaining the privacy register;
  • Where needed, drafting privacy training and awareness plans and/or materials and ensuring such materials are reviewed by the Privacy Legal Function prior to deployment;
  • Support the local roll-out of IT tooling by the various Philips functions (e.g.HR, IT, Finance, etc.) by providing the necessary requirements to become compliant with applicable privacy laws and standards;
  • Support the local organization in the implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation;
  • Support other local initiatives that have a privacy impact;
  • Support of the Privacy Counsel regarding privacy event investigations.
     

You are a part of:
A R&D organization with about 120 employees, partly in The Netherlands and partly in India. Next to that you are in close contact with the global Privacy team and with other stakeholders.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelors or Master's degree and 3+ years' experience in a legal or compliance role in the field of privacy and data protection.
  • Experience with enterprise software solutions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of EU data protection regulatory requirements.
  • Certified International Privacy Professional Certification or equivalent (preferred).
  • Ability to perform high-level work on a wide variety of data privacy matters and willing to take rational but bold decisions under time pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and be a strong team player.
  • Excellent client management and communication skills, both written and verbal (ability to communicate in Dutch and English is required).
  • Results and customer oriented, organized, and able to prioritize, continuous improvement mindset.
  • Knowledge and understanding of healthcare-related law and medical software (a plus).
  • Preferable: knowledge of the ISO standard ISO27001 (framework for an Information Security Management System).
