We are looking for a Presales Engineer

Key Area of Responsibilities are:
-Support account management in closing license agreements for Philips’ embedded software solution in the area of health and wellness
-In dialogue with the customer derive the commercial requirements for the embedded software in view of the customer’s target application/product
-Customize the off-the-shelf software solution to the specific wishes of the customer, in close contact with account management, in order to maximize the performance for each specific customer
-Project management for customer design-in projects. Keep track of project schedule, issue status and pro-actively follow up with customer
-Drive design-in activity at customer site in close cooperation with development, marketing, account managers and business management
-Provide continuous high quality in-field technical support on defined territory and/or accounts and track design-ins toward design-win
-Build and keep close customer relationships by visits, phone and e-mails
-Drive customer visits for technical product presentations, demos, reference boards and application manuals
-Assist customers in adopting Philips licensed technologies on different embedded platforms ( including Android, iOS and Linux)
-Pro-actively communicate product features and benefits on a technical level to customers
-Develop application knowledge and communicate market feedback and (technical) insights to marketing, sales and business management
-Keeps in close contact with the product group, in order to increase/maintain the application knowledge and be timely informed about new developments

Requirement:
-Bachelor degree or higher in Electronics Engineering or Software Engineering
-Must have embedded programming affinity with hand on experience on Android/Linux programming techniques (iOS is additional advantage)
-3-5 years of relevant experience as pre-sales engineer/field application engineer
-At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in software development in C, C++, C# using Visual Studio and Java
-Analytical mindset capable of processing information and applying it to a wider context
-Highly customer focused; willingness and ability to go the extra mile to support customer wishes
-Well-developed commercial communication and intercultural communication skills
-Good documentation and presentation skills
-Capacity to identify customer’s key technical criteria for product choice (good listening skills)
-Solution and ‘Value Proposition’ oriented, with focus to contribute to business growth
-Creative, flexible, open minded, ability to work on multiple tasks (customer accounts) at the same time
-Fluent in English (verbal and written)
-Good project management skills
-Works independent, takes initiative
-Occasional travelling is required.

The assignment is in principle on a full-time base, starting Apr 1st, 2019.
