Model‑Based Systems Engineer
As a Model‑Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) at Philips, you will be responsible for applying established MBSE methods in projects across different Philips businesses. You will play a crucial role in delivering high‑quality system and subsystem models by meeting user and business requirements, managing complexity within your scope, and collaborating closely with senior systems engineers and architects. Additionally, you will contribute to improving Systems Engineering capability across Philips by sharing best practices, suggesting incremental method enhancements, and supporting knowledge transfer activities.
Your role
What we do today affects someone’s life tomorrow; it is a quality policy of Philips. Striving for the highest quality of healthcare products, you will be working on implementing and applying Model‑based Systems Engineering (MBSE) in R&D departments within various Philips businesses.
Your practical modeling skills will help us continuously improve our Systems Engineering practices and prepare us for the future.
You will be a part of the Model‑Based Systems Engineering competence group within the Innovation Engineering central function, primarily located in the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven. The MBSE group comprises approx. 15 highly skilled and motivated MBSE professionals working on projects across Philips businesses. These projects can cover every phase of the product life cycle, from development, manufacturing, market deployment, operation, and maintenance to phase‑out.
You will also help to deploy MBSE capability throughout the global company by applying existing standards, contributing feedback to templates/guidelines, and supporting onboarding or coaching sessions under guidance of senior colleagues.
In this role, from being on the front‑end of Philips product development through MBSE deployment activities, you will be able to contribute across key aspects of MBSE and product development at Philips. Our external engagement with other companies will allow you to build a strong network of like‑minded professionals across the high‑tech industry and learn from broader MBSE practices.
