Are you an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer ready for a high-impact, long-term challenge within one of Philips’ most dynamic and innovative spaces?

Philips Innovation Engineering is seeking a flexible, self-sturing, and highly proficient Mechanical Development Engineer to embed within our MR Magnetic Resonance Imaging business. The role is focused on co-creation and realizing specialized mechanical solutions for advanced MRI systems—a true venture environment.

The Challenge

You will use your expertise to design, implement, and test mechanical solutions for complex dynamic systems and moving parts in cutting-edge MR technology. This role demands both high-level design proficiency and a hands-on approach.

Your Expertise

  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant Mechanical Design expertise in innovative product development.

  • CAD/PLM: Mandatory proficiency in CREO and Windchill PDLM. Experience in CREO is a hard requirement.

  • Strong knowledge & experience of mechanical design principles, including GD&T, tolerances, stiffness & other mechanical design principles.

  • Experience working on dynamic systems and moving parts is a plus. Familiarity with regulated environments (e.g., Medical Devices, ISO 13485) is highly desirable.

  • Mindset: System thinking, proactive, and capable of working independently on complex, cross-functional projects.

You will detail mechanical solutions provided by the technical lead, create necessary technical product documentation (BOMs, service manuals), and ensure designs are ready for scale-up and volume production, all while collaborating closely with technical experts across electronics, software, and thermal disciplines.

Why Philips Innovation Engineering?

You will be part of the central Mechatronics & Manufacturing Systems group, which acts as a strategic internal service provider for all Philips businesses. We offer stimulating challenges, diverse application domains, and the support to continually develop state-of-the-art competence.
