Manufacturing Engineer

Independent, proactive and not afraid to take responsibility. That characterizes you as a Manufacturing Engineer. You are the representative of Operations in multidisciplinary teams. You have a result-oriented approach and are quality driven. The teams ensure the best transition from development to production. Clear communication is essential. Furthermore, it is important that you recognize yourself in the following points:

  • Minimum technical bachelor's degree. 
  • Experience within Manufacturing or Engineering with high tech medical devices.
  • Experience with FMEA, 8D, SPC, A3, Lean Manufacturing. 
  • Experience with OT (Operational Technology) and IT (Information Technology).
  • Green Belt or Lean certified (preference)

 

 What you are going to do?

As a Manufacturing Engineer you have an important role within process improvements. You investigate and escalate production issues/complaints, assess the change and implement a correction. This gives you the opportunity to make IGT (Image Guided Therapy) and MR (Magnetic Resonance) plant as Lean as possible. Improving efficiency, product quality and test section you always keep in mind. It is up to you to come up with structural solutions. You write work instructions, monitor and maintain tooling and you are involved in all validation activities related to Life Cycle Management (LCM). The work instructions are in Dutch, so mastering both the English and Dutch language is very important. Some of your activities: 

  • Perform peer reviews and authorize validation documentation as indicated in the procedures;
  • Create and implement structural solutions by initiating changes such as problem reports (PR) and/or 8D forms. 
  • Provides input for Manufacturing requirements in PDLM. 
  • Provide support, improve and maintain the manufacturing process within the Engineering Department. 
  • Participate as an expert in audits and in supply chain teams, design teams, procurement teams and secure agreed manufacturing requirements. 
  • Perform technical analyses (DEFOA/MOA Root cause analyses) feasibility studies of improvements (business cases).
  • Analyzing performance data related to products and processes (Six-sigma, SPC).
  • Preparation of Quality Control Plan. 
  • Performs Capex optimization for repeat investments.
