Logistic Engineer (Freelance)

The factory in Drachten produces products for the BG Male Grooming and since 2020 also for the BG Mother and Child Care.

We are looking for a logistic engineer that is tasked with supporting the different departments and improving the logistic flow within the factory
 

Job description: Logistic engineer
You are responsible for:

• Support production organization with:
• Logistical insights to shop floor
• Insights in production capacities
• Creating and maintaining master data
• You lead small improvement projects
• Typically, these projects use a value stream mapping methodology
• Setting up new processes and implementing improvements
• You are part of bigger improvement projects
• You implement improvements by training different stakeholders
• Forecasting stock levels within your scope
• Alignment with other relevant stakeholders in the supply chain: E.g. production, production planning, supply planning, shipping.
   

We are looking for:
Technical competences:

• An MSc/BSc in industrial engineering, supply chain management, business or a comparable degree.
• Management skills:
• Strong problem-solving and project management skills
• Digital savvy, good knowledge of data analysis and interpretation for informed decisions
• Ability to lead small multi-disciplinary project teams
• Knowledge on Value stream mapping is a pre
• Good knowledge on Excel is a pre
• You are a good communicator, preferable in Dutch as you'll be in contact with shop floor
• You will work in Drachten
