About Us: As a Junior Technical Writer for the Image Guided Therapy (IGT) Business Group, you'll play a crucial role in creating essential technical information for our Customer Services organization. We specialize in producing repair, maintenance, upgrade, and installation documentation for our cutting-edge imaging systems. This is your chance to grow and thrive in a challenging yet rewarding environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineers to gather information on new system releases or changes, utilizing interviews, equipment observation, and reviewing technical documents.

  • Align documentation requests and requirements through discussions with information providers and fellow writers.

  • Monitor project progress, ensure timely communication, and meet deadlines.

  • Contribute to the creation, development, planning, writing, designing, and editing of service information.

  • Design, write, and maintain installation documents for X-ray systems.

  • Utilize various text editors (MS Word, X-Metal) and Content Management Systems, with a preference for ST4 and PTC-Windchill.

  • Implement writing for reuse and employ controlled language practices.

  • Collaborate with illustrators and assist in the processing of technical illustrations.

We Are Looking For:

  • Candidates with an open mind and less than 3 years of experience are encouraged to apply.

  • A background in linguistics/communication is preferred. Experience with medical or high-tech equipment is a plus.

  • Familiarity with ST4, PTC-Windchill is advantageous.

  • Strong communication skills are essential.

  • Knowledge of controlled language or documentation standards is a bonus.
