Jr. Network Operations Analyst
Role: Jr. Network Operations Analyst (100% remote within the Netherlands)
Contract: Via Randstad
Duration: 1 year (High possibility of extention)
Your Role: You will assist in overseeing the PHILIPS IT infrastructure network and data center operations across multiple sites and data centers. Working under the guidance of senior network engineers and administrators, you will help monitor network performance, functionality, and capacity to ensure coverage, uptime, and quality. This role will Monitor AWS operations support AWS migrations and assist with Linux and Powershell scripting within the department. You will contribute to projects involving the deployment, installation, administration, and maintenance of infrastructure technologies and provide network support as needed. You will report to and receive guidance from the Manager, of Network Operations.
Responsibilities:
Assist in monitoring network and data center performance
Support AWS operations and migrations. Assist in AWS network scaling and administration of S3, Route 53, Kubernetes, EC2 instances, VPCs, load balancers, and firewalls
Participate in capacity planning
Collaborate with team members on network-related tasks
Support vendor management activities
Participate in after-hours on-call rotation as required
Create and maintain network documentation
Develop, test, and maintain disaster recovery procedures.
Education & Experience required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field with an entry-level to 2 years of experience in network operations or a related field
Good knowledge of the AWS Cloud. Experience in working with servers, Building EC2 instances, and connecting them to the network.
Familiarity with AWS systems administration and basic knowledge of implementations of development and production environments
Experience monitoring enterprise environments using tools like PRTG, SolarWinds, and Syslog server
Knowledge of AWS S3, Route 53, VPCs, cloud formation, application as code deployments, and load balancers
Basic understanding of network design and configuration
