At Philips IP&S, we are looking for a Generative AI Architect to help shape the next generation of AI-enabled workflows within our Wireless Connectivity Standardization team (5G, 6G, Wi-Fi). This role is a hybrid between platform engineering and applied AI architecture. You will design and build practical GenAI solutions that improve how we create, analyze, and use technical and IP&S-related content in fast-moving standardization environments.

The architect will work side-by-side with wireless connectivity experts to turn high-value use cases into reliable tools. The human-in-the-loop design principle is fundamental to these tools, as they are intended to support and augment experts, not replace them.

What you will do

  • Design and build E2E GenAI pipelines, including RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, and complex orchestration logic.

  • Lead data pipeline engineering to handle data ingestion, retrieval, freshness, and observability for real business workflows.

  • Develop evaluation pipelines to benchmark accuracy and hallucination rates with varying prompts/models, and implement iterative improvement loops.

  • Ensure reliability and safety by implementing proper guardrails (deterministic boundaries, input sanitization, output validation) and handling failures/edge cases via fallback strategies.

  • Improve and extend existing Copilot agents and build automations around IPR lifecycle activities.

  • Build reusable components (e.g., prompt libraries, evaluation sets, RAG modules) and maintain technical documentation for long-term evolution.

  • Evaluate and advise on cost-performance trade-offs of different AI solutions.

Required skills

  • Hands-on experience with data pipeline engineering, LLMs, RAG system design, orchestration frameworks (LangChain/Semantic Kernel), and AI evaluation frameworks.

  • Proven ability to move from a prototype to a reliable, scalable internal solution.

  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with multidisciplinary experts in a fast-paced technical environment.

  • Experience with Microsoft’s AI ecosystem, workflow automation, and enterprise integration is a strong plus.

  • Familiarity with telecom, wireless systems, or standardization workflows is highly valued.
