Build and strengthen the reputation of Philips as a leading health technology company focused on improving people’s health through meaningful innovation. The Brand, Communications & Digital Benelux team develops and implements the brand, communications and digital marketing strategy in our home market to support the strategic business objectives of Philips.



You will be part of a high performing, dynamic and strong team of professionals, all with a great drive for results and an energetic, positive team spirit. The team is located on the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven.



You are responsible for


Driving the brand and reputation of Philips in the Dutch home market. This position is driven by strong, class-leading communications activities by the Brand, Communications & Digital Benelux team. This role is a pivotal function in the team. All area communications above product marketing level are your responsibility, ranging from corporate communications, PR, thought leadership, executive positioning, CSR, crisis communications, public affairs across all stakeholder audiences relevant (B2B and B2C).


  • Press spokespersonship on key company topics, including crisis management issues, such as restructuring operations;


  • Drive thought leadership strategy in the market with senior executives in line with global planning and guidance;


  • Build and manage an effective network of media relevant for the company (all news media e.g. TV, online, journalists);


  • Identify positioning opportunities and platforms and ensures these are leveraged and become part of market communications plan and activity in line with the RepTrak model of Van Riel;


  • Manage the outreach on relevant topics via all channels such as online/social media;


  • Lead all above-BMC communications for the Benelux across Philips activities and business.



To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience


  • A completed Master’s Degree;


  • About minimum of 10 years relevant experience, managing complex communications processes across a complex / matrix organization;


  • Superior brand & reputation management skills, able to localize global brand and reputation strategy and execute;


  • Understand branding & reputation management in digital age, including various digital communication platforms to drive brand positioning & reputation;


  • Understand impact of brand through end-to-end communication & engagement journey with customers & consumers. Can effectively execute this understanding with meaningful programs & cross-channel messaging;


  • Experience in Healthcare or Technology B2B, B2G communications is strongly preferred;


  • Strong communication competencies: positioning, messaging and storytelling, including crisis- and PR-management, managing & influencing multiple senior stakeholders;


  • Strong interpersonal skills; natural connector and collaborator within local organization, local markets and global business groups;


  • Strong ability to creatively solve problems (under time pressure);


  • Organizational sensitivity;


  • Possess strong analytical skills and rigor, is data driven and has the market intelligence aptitude and capability to track and measure success;


  • Has excellent organization skills & is results driven, can combine strategic thinking with effective execution, whilst being flexible when needed;


  • The position is based in Eindhoven, but travel to Headquarters in Amsterdam is required.
