EMC Electrical Designer (Contract)

Location: Best

Duration Assignment: 12 months (with possible extension)

Contract: via a Randstad company

Hours/week: 40

Budget range: €4300 - €5700

In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Make life better! In this role, you challenge product design and development to achieve full EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) compliance with international standards. You will be instrumental in setting up test strategies and directly supporting design teams and suppliers to ensure EMC is built into the product.

You will be responsible for:

  • Performing EMC (pre-)compliance tests in collaboration with the internal accredited EMC lab.

  • Setting up the test strategy and test plans to comply with EMC international standards in alignment with the Norm Compliance department.

  • Consulting and supporting electrical, mechanical, and software designers in design for EMC.

  • Directing and supporting suppliers with respect to EMC compliancy.

  • Co-creating, maintaining, and carrying out the EMC architecture and compliance.

  • Co-creating, maintaining, and improving EMC facilities and equipment.

  • Successful cooperation with your team and stakeholders, including planning, delivery of results, and documentation.

  • Improving the quality and efficiency of the delivery process.


To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Master of Science or related technical degree in electrical, electronics, mechatronics engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

  • A minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience in a professional engineering environment.

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in EMC development and/or measurement (preferable experience in IEC60601-1-2).

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in EMC equipment, labs, and facilitation & requirement definition.

  • Experience in new product introduction or life-cycle development in the industry.

  • A team player with good coordination and soft skills, able to work in cross-functional teams.

  • Good communication skills in English.

  • Proactive, energetic, self-driven, hands-on, and accurate professional with a drive for Patient Safety and Quality.

  • Experience in SAFe is a plus.
