EHS Engineer (Environmental, Health & Safety)
Job Summary
The EHS Engineer will support environmental, health, and safety initiatives across the organization by assisting in compliance, reporting, and continuous improvement of EHS management systems. This role involves a combination of administrative coordination, technical support, digital communication, and process improvement to ensure a safe and sustainable working environment.
Key Responsibilities
EHS Administration & Reporting
Support monthly EHS and sustainability reporting activities
Collect data from plants and vendors, consolidate in Excel, and integrate into internal sustainability tools
Maintain accurate EHS documentation and records
Compliance & Management Systems
Assist in maintaining and improving ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 certified EHS management systems
Track compliance requirements and corrective actions
Support audits and ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards
Incident Management
Participate in incident investigations
Contribute to root cause analysis and corrective action planning
Monitor and track closure of action items
Production Floor Support
Provide EHS guidance and support to identify safety and environmental improvement opportunities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices
Digital Communication & Awareness
Create and deliver EHS communication materials, including:
Posters
Videos
Toolbox talks
Sustainability tips and campaigns
Support monthly EHS or sustainability messaging initiatives
Process Improvement & Sustainability
Drive efficiency through process improvements and automation initiatives
Support waste reduction and circularity programs
Contribute to sustainability and continuous improvement efforts
Key Duties
Develop digital media content for EHS programs
Improve departmental efficiency through automation tools
Update and maintain EHS documentation
Support sustainability and waste management initiatives
Assist in cross-functional EHS projects
Required Skills & Experience
Ability to manage multiple projects across departments in a dynamic environment
Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Technical Knowledge
Basic understanding of General Industry OSHA standards
Familiarity with environmental and safety regulations
Knowledge of ISO standards is an advantage
Preferred / Value-Add Skills
Experience with Microsoft Power Automate and Power BI
Familiarity with Adobe tools (especially Adobe Rush)
Exposure to EPA and DOT regulations
Experience in digital communication or content creation within EHS or manufacturing
Interest in sustainability, process optimization, and continuous improvement
