Document Control (Contract)

Location: Philips Best

Duration Assignment: 12 months (with possible extension)

Contract: via a Randstad company

Hours/week: 40

Budget range: €3500 - €4250

In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Make life better!

As a Document Control, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and streamlining Philips’ document control systems, ensuring compliance, accessibility, and efficiency for critical Quality Management processes.

You will be responsible for:

  • Acting as the Business Process Owner (BPO)/Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Document Control processes and tools.

  • Supporting authors and process owners to define and produce lean Quality System documents and records with high-quality content.

  • Managing document review processes and ensuring controlled documents are available and published correctly.

  • Monitoring metrics to assess the efficacy and efficiency of the document management system.

  • Collecting and maintaining documents and records of the latest revision levels.

  • Ensuring timely distribution of updated documents and removal of obsolete versions from circulation.

  • Maintaining the document management system for fast retrieval of records.

  • Assigning and controlling document numbers while managing document registers.

  • Supporting local QMS training administrators and administering global learning assignments using standardized training processes.

  • Managing global standardized roles in the Learning Management System (LMS).

  • Testing and reviewing training content before deployment to ensure accuracy.


To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Proven experience in document and record management.

  • Strong understanding of document control processes and quality management systems (QMS).

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and administering global learning assignments is a plus.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple QMS changes and updates.
