System test engineer (Freelance)
Contribute to the development of Digital Pathology Solutions. In a world with increasing challenges for cancer diagnostic procedures and quality of patient care, we want to be number one in empowering Pathologists with Digital Pathology Solutions via the best pathology scanners and viewing applications available, helping the pathology laboratory and the pathologists to work more effectively, leading to higher quality diagnosis and as a result better patient care.
Your challenge:
You will work in a multi-disciplinary team, including other system testers, making sure that new product introductions and maintenance releases of the Philips Digital Pathology Solutions work as specified. By translating different epics into test designs, you define and execute the optimal manual and automated test approach by applying your test capabilities, medical domain knowledge and inputs from other disciplines (development, validation, service, and marketing). Your contribution is essential in verifying and releasing our solutions.
Your responsibilities:
Develop, execute and document objective, reproducible and maintainable test designs and test protocols/procedures by using test design methods, techniques and tools.
Reviews (functional and non-functional) requirements / stories / features for accuracy and test-ability
Develops and conducts tests to verify functionality (performance, reliability, security, compliance etc) based on a risk-based strategy, against the design input requirements. Formally report on these.
Document test plans, protocols, and reports
Contribute to improvements in test ware, supporting tools and design verification process
Provide support to SW developers in their component test activities
Your profile:
- Bachelor/Master in Software Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related field.
- Certified in testing (TMAP/ISTQB), advanced level preferred
- At least 5 years of experience in the system test domain.
- High-quality standards and a strive for continuous improvement
- Taking ownership with a proactive mindset.
- Eager to learn, both in the clinical and testing domain.
- Tool experience: ALM, WindChill PTC RV&S
- Test automation experience preferred
- Experience in working in Agile Scrum teams
