Role: System Engineer

Your Role:
As a Systems Engineer, you will be the technical leader for new medical technologies, specifically Intense Pulse Light (IPL) products. You’ll collaborate with a team of experts from different fields (like software and mechanical engineering) to build complex systems from scratch. Because these are medical devices, you’ll work within strict safety and quality rules.
You are responsible for:
Collaborate with technical teams in the development of IPL (intense pulse light) technologies/products/systems, ensuring successful execution from concept to implementation.
Work alongside experts from various engineering fields (e.g., mechanical, electrical, software) to offer integrated solutions.
Support product development projects by maintaining adherence to established development logic and methodologies, assisting in decision-making processes.
Maintaining traceability throughout the V-model development process; from translating high level requirements to lower-level requirements; and from translating requirements into designs and ensuring these are verified
Supporting continuous improvement activities of the way of working in the Systems Engineering group (e.g. adoption of Model Based Systems Engineering, SAFE Agile etc.)
Your profile to perform this role:
MSc degree in Systems Engineering, (applied) Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or similar with at least 3 years in a leadership role where you managed complex, multi-part engineering projects.
Experience with tools like DOORS (for requirements), Matlab, CREO, or Ansys (for modeling/simulations). You must be familiar with medical regulations (like FDA or ISO 13485).
You are great at math and statistics, ideally with a Six Sigma (DFSS) certification.
You are happy to travel to partners and suppliers (mostly in the NL, but some international trips). And You can talk to and lead people from different cultures and professional backgrounds easily.
