System Engineer

The Philips Grooming&Beauty Business has a rich history in producing state of art shavers, trimmers and female Beauty propositions, and is now embarking on an exciting journey towards more connected and personalized solutions to continue delighting our customers. To make this strategic shift happen, Male Grooming has a need for talented and ambitious people with a strong technical background and proven leadership skills to fuel the innovation pipeline. Within Grooming and Beauty, the System Engineering group focuses on developing innovative new products and solutions for the Philips Grooming&Beauty portfolio, through state of art development methodologies including MBSE, DFSS, LEAN and Agile.
At this moment, we are specifically looking for a System Engineer experienced in the domain of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). You are capable of creating holistic system models using SysML (tool: Cameo) and you are interested in exploring possibilities to improve our way of working utilizing principles of Industry 4.0, Digital Twins and Model-Based Systems Engineering.
Key areas of responsibilities:
As a Systems Engineer your key area of responsibilities include:
- Overall technical leadership and responsible for realization of full- or sub-system product (pre)development/release/life cycle management to ensure quality and compliance.
- Translation of user and business requirements into product requirements, high level product design, check and optimize integration and verification.
- System decomposition and allocation of derived requirements down to HW/SW element and part level and related traceability.
- Trade-off of product/system design specifications and interfaces, determine feasibility of potential solutions, and leading technical & design reviews.
- Explore new propositions related to shaving and grooming to expand our product portfolio towards connected and personalized solutions.
- Creation and capturing/archiving of fundamental male grooming knowledge.
- Supporting continuous improvement of the way of working in the System Engineering group through the implementation of Model-Based Systems Engineering
- You lead and influence others, drive design for quality and you are closely involved in the program of the applicable business.
Position Requirements:
Experience required: +3 yrs
Education level required: University MSc
Educational background: Systems Engineering, (applied) Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or similar.
Other requirements: experienced in MBSE/SysML, customer-focused attitude, team player
