Software Systems Engineer (Contract)

Location: High Tech Campus, Eindhoven, the Netherlands

Duration Assignment: 12 months (with possible extension)

Contract: via a Randstad company

Hours/week: 40

Salary range: €5,500 - 7,500 per month


In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Make life better!In this role, you challenge yourself as a Software Systems Engineer to be part of the Reliability/Availability/Maintainability/Safety Engineering team (RAMS-E), contributing to the development of safe, reliable, and compliant medical products.

You will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing/creating FMEA/Reliability training materials for software.

  • Co-delivering FMEA/Reliability trainings for software.

  • Coaching software engineers on applying Systems Engineering to software.

  • Working on projects to maintain hands-on quality engineering experience and stay updated with the latest innovation developments.

  • Actively participating in the Global Philips RAMS community and promoting RAMS in the R&D community.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Software Engineering.

  • 8+ years of experience in software design and development.

  • Passion for applying Systems Engineering methods in the software domain.

  • R&D background with knowledge of product and software development.

  • Experience working in a medical regulated environment is preferred.

  • 6Sigma certifications are welcome.

  • A natural talent for training, able to explain complex concepts in easy-to-understand terms, and capable of capturing people’s attention.

  • Strong team player with a willingness to travel up to 20% for training delivery and onsite support.
