Electrical Designer

Department:
The Mechatronic Equipment department of Philips Innovation Services (PInS) is responsible for specification, design and realization of high-end mechatronic solutions. In this department the group E-HW & SW Motion Control takes care for the electrical and software control of this equipment.
Project:
As an electrical designer you will work in a multi-disciplinary project team of highly skilled technical experts from both Philips Innovation Services and our customer. The team works on a project where electrical control cabinets are designed for mechatronic modules, including the design of mains power distribution cabinets. All modules will be integrated at customer site into one (large) tool.

Function:

You are able to work with ‘concepts’, you document specifications and review your work and the work from other engineers. You are responsible for the design and realization of electrical cabinets and racks containing plc’s, power supplies, filters, fuses, relays, I/O modules, connectors etc. You do this with extensive knowledge of required regulations and standards (EMC, CE, etc.) You also review specifications and participate in the realization and debugging of electrical systems.
Your profile:
 You have a Bachelor degree in electrical engineering.  You have at least 5 years work experience, and at least two years in a high-tech environment.  You have experience with designing and documenting electric cabinets, racks, modules and subassemblies.  You are a proven team player, take initiative, are flexible, are able to work with changing views.  You have a customer centric attitude.  You are able to make a work break down and a planning for your own work.  You have a broad technical experience and knowledge about cabling, interfacing, connectors, industrial automation parts, mains power and power supplies and electrical cabinet design.  You are able to make functional block diagrams, implementation diagrams, detailed wiring, field boxes, and electrical control cabinets (19” system). This will be the main part of the job.  Note: we are not looking for an electronics designer!  You are able to make test specifications, and execute these tests.  You have experience with CE, EMC, NEN-60204, safety regulations.  You have experience in working with: o Microsoft Visio; o The ASML TPD system and way of working o Teamcenter (for configuration management of E-drawings)  You are fluently in Dutch and English.
