Reliability Engineer
As a Reliability Engineer, you will be a key driver in the RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety) excellence program. This role requires a blend of rigorous statistical analysis, hands-on testing development, and proactive risk management.
Activities
Execute the RAMS strategy across all supported product lines.
Partner with Patient Safety and Quality teams to refine reliability programs and ensure long-term product success.
Integrate Design for Reliability (DfR) and Design for Six Sigma (DfSS) ideologies into the product lifecycle.
Design and oversee various testing protocols, including Life Testing, ALT, HALT, HASS, and Durability testing.
Evaluate and qualify new manufacturing technologies and processes to ensure they meet reliability standards.
Lead resolution verification efforts to ensure corrective actions are effective.
Perform advanced data modeling using Weibull Analysis, Monte Carlo simulations, Regression Modeling, and Reliability Growth Assessments.
Lead Design FMEAs (DFMEA) for new products and recommend specific design changes to mitigate identified risks.
Analyze warranty trends and hazard rates to provide accurate spending forecasts and target setting for new releases.
Lead efforts in problem identification and corrective action development to reduce warranty claims.
Actively participate in product design reviews to advocate for robustness and serviceability.
Prepare schedules and work estimates for reliability activities across multiple Business Units (BUs).
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical, Industrial Engineering, or Computer Science (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum of 2 years of experience in reliability testing, DfR, or software quality with a Bachelor’s degree; or a Master’s degree with no prior experience.
Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE), Six Sigma Green Belt, or Black Belt preferred.
Proficiency in Weibull Analysis, Monte Carlo simulations, Regression modeling, and Hazard analysis.
Expertise in leading Design FMEAs (DFMEA) and conducting comprehensive Product Risk Assessments.
Hands-on experience with ALT, HALT, HASS, and Software Reliability testing within a Verification & Validation (V&V) framework.
Strict adherence to Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Proven ability to lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions to reduce warranty claims.
You will be contracted by the Randstad and work on assignment with Philips.
