Quality Project Lead

For our Innovation Team Male Grooming and Beauty in Drachten we are looking for an enthusiastic Quality Project Lead in the PDLM phase; Product Development, Launch & Maintenance.

Your challenge

As Quality Project Lead you will manage the Quality approach in Grooming and Beauty PDLM projects: this involves the quality of the products during the development, of the manufacturing process and of the supplied parts and assemblies.

You will be responsible to ensure the quality of the products, in case of product development and/or process change requests.

You will monitor product quality during the development until project closure and report out the status. You act as the single point of contact of the development project team responsible to ensure that the hardware design meets quality standards for every milestone.

Your responsibilities

You will support the PDLM teams, the use of Q-tools (e.g. design of experiments, data analysis, DfSS, FMEA), and the review of process capability studies and control plans.

As the Development Quality member in the PDLM team you will be the pivot between the various Q disciplines involved in the PDLM phase, like LCM Quality, Safety & Compliance, Supplier Quality, Industrial Quality and Consumer Care. You will be located at Philips Drachten and working in an international environment, connecting with supply, manufacturing and development sites in Europe and Asia.

Job family summary:

• The Quality Project Lead is accountable for the safety and quality oversight of system, hardware and risk management during development and throughout the product life cycle.

• The Quality Project Lead provides independent oversight of the design input process, design V&V activities, design transfer and product realization, and performance in the field to ensure that all design requirements are effectively met.

• The Quality Project Lead also provides analytics to the Business on the efficacy and efficiency of the design and product realization processes.

We are looking for

You have a technical Bachelor and/or Masters degree. You have several years work experience in multidisciplinary teams, being responsible for quality in a development environment or you have experience as an engineer in a production environment and you would like to broaden your experience in the Development Quality competence.

You have a quality mindset and preferably you know Q tools like statistical engineering, Design for Six Sigma and/or Reliability Engineering.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Ensures that appropriate quality plans are made that include all stages of the product life cycle.

• Supports Quality Plan design for hardware and Software design and ensure they meet quality and compliance standards for every planned milestone.

• Validates key design inputs like usability, reliability, performance, supportability, manufacturability, localizability, safety, security, privacy, serviceability, sustainability, and costs.

• Provides effective oversight of the execution of the quality plans, any Risk Management activities, and of all design related activities during the product/system lifecycle.

• Performs independent technical assessment on product quality performance and post-market product quality analysis.

• Can lead quality related problem solving and root cause analysis during design and manufacturing and initiates field actions when required.

• Supports stakeholders during the execution of quality system- and product audits and inspections.

• Independently Produces and completes Quality Engineering documents.

• Responsible for Performing timely quality engineering tasks like: assessing quality plans, assessing product designs and reviewing test results.

• May also provide other quality engineering support, including assisting organizational units in leading resolution of quality engineering deficiencies.

You have:

• Strong communication and influencing skills in Dutch and English

• A proactive and supportive attitude towards the PDLM teams, being a role model for the Quality function.

• Understanding of how changes and issues are managed and how Quality plays a role in this.
