Quality Engineer (Randstad Contingent Worker)

 

This position must work onsite in our Latham, NY facility.       

 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Be a key contributor to Quality Engineering for our Latham Magnet MRI organization. 

 

You will be responsible for:

• Review the Device History record and authorize its release.

• Performing routine calibration of internal equipment.

• Management of calibration database for all internal and external instruments, monitoring due dates, performing calibrations and management of calibration records (certifications and reports) according to Philips policies.

• Evaluate, investigate, and manage Out of Tolerance reports accordance with Philips’s policies.

• Create, maintain, and execute calibration procedures for various instrumentation and equipment.

Other duties , as required by management

 

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

• 2-year college degree in manufacturing technical systems or other technical schooling (preferred).

•4+ years manufacturing quality engineering experience (ie. automotive, medical device, or other industry).

• Ability to read engineering drawings and expertise knowledge of ASME Y14.5M (GD&T).

• Knowledge of materials, calibration, auditing and auditing techniques.

• Knowledge of basic statistical terms and techniques, plotting data and recognizing out-of-control conditions.

• Must understand types of measurements, terminology, and measurement techniques.

• General understanding of ISO 9001 / ISO 17025 / Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

• Works well in a matrixed managed organization, communicate openly.

• Knowledge of basic quality terms, definitions, and concepts.

• Must understand the concept of traceability (product, material, and calibration).
