Product Industrialization Engineer Assembly (Contract)

Location: Drachten

Duration Assignment: 12 months (with possible extension)

Contract: via a Randstad company

Hours/week: 40

Salary range: 3.450,- EUR till 4.000,- EUR per month

In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Make life better! In this role, you challenge the development and realization of world-class industrialization solutions for Shavers, Grooming, and other Philips products. You will be part of the Site Manufacturing Engineering (SME) team, focused on Final Assembly and Electronics.

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and realizing production equipment for assembly.

  • Reviewing industrialization activities at suppliers.

  • Optimizing and improving assembly production processes (automatic or manual assembly lines, assembly processes, handling/assembly equipment).

  • Ensuring process and equipment capability meets all specified requirements.

  • Successfully handing over equipment and processes to operations.


To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Experience in assembly techniques.

  • Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing, Design for Testability, PFMEA, and process/capability analysis like DfSS.

  • Good communication skills for cooperation with development, production, and supporting groups.

  • Willingness to work mostly on-site, as the position suits on-site presence.
